About me........

Now, at 58-years-old, I've been writing fictional stories and poetry - just for relaxation - since my junior high school days. My English and literature teachers consistently prophesied my becoming an author one day. I now believe them!

With family and friends egging me on to publish some children's books...I did.

And when my book publisher encouraged me to take a shot at penning some "adventure fiction"...I did.

And when a few very highly respected fellow poets insisted I publish some of my out-of-the-norm rhyming verse, again...I listened.

Now, with 20 books ready to promote, I'm beginning my search for a traditional editor and publisher that agree with those who prompted me to do this! Everything I write is fictional. Some is aimed at middle-aged kids, ans some at young and old adults. And if you appreciate poems like: "Paul Revere's Ride," "The Highwayman," "The Charge of the Light Brigade," "The Raven," "The Night Before Christmas," (you know which one I mean), and others of this style, you'll absolutely love my poetry!

I live with my wife, Connie, in Iowa City, and have one son - named Tony. Connie and I dealt in and collected antique furniture and lighting for more than 30 years. We also collected antique barbershop items and pre-1900 pool & billiard items of all descriptions for more than 25 years. You'll find our wonderful - and colossal - book on billiard collectibles on this site. My hobbies are writing, cruising around in restored cars, long sight-seeing trips on beautiful days, and visits to family at a couple of lakes where some of them live. I was also very active in billiards, bowling, volleyball, basketball, and softball for many years. Thanks again for dropping in...and I sincerely hope you'll find something you like as a book reader and/or a poetry buff here on my new site!
